Since I first encountered the basics of Computer Science, I have thrived in studying algorithms, programming languages, and data processing. I have a curious nature and enjoy tackling challenges and solving mysteries. Even as a child, I relished solving problems through careful thought, testing, and experimentation. High school honed my natural abilities in math and physics, subjects that provided a practical outlet for tackling new, more complex problems. While I felt I could always devote my energy and time to math and physics, computer science offered even more, fulfilling my desire for continuous learning and exposure to the latest technologies. The field appeared boundless, and I eagerly awaited the next breakthrough.
Continuing my pursuit of Computer Science is more than just a logical extension of my academic, professional, and research experiences; it is the only natural choice given my sensibilities, ambitions, and indeed my dreams. By deepening my knowledge in Computer Science through active research and teaching assistantships or tutoring, I will be fully prepared to realize my future goals. My top priority is to complete a graduate program, establishing the foundation for my career in Computer Science, and contributing to the future of the field that brings me the greatest fulfillment.
I bring to the graduate Computer Science program a strong academic foundation in Computer Applications and Computer Science, with five years of consistent academic exposure. I have an excellent base of knowledge not only in the fundamentals of calculus and physics but also in practical hands-on programming language experiences with Java, C#, and C++. To be truly effective in my future work, beyond the classroom and into the business world, I need to solidify my understanding of how today’s technologies can provide sustainable solutions for the modern business world, specifically expanding my existing knowledge of web-based applications and networking.
I also possess the ability to adapt to new situations. Evidence of my flexibility is my completion of classes conducted in English, despite Arabic being my native language. The confidence to make such a successful transition stems from my deep understanding of another language, namely Computer Science.
I believe my international experiences will be a significant advantage in the classroom. Having lived and been educated in KSA and Canada, and traveled to four different countries across two diverse continents, my worldview has been greatly broadened and deepened. I have interacted effectively with many diverse individuals and can speak confidently in front of groups. A graduate student needs to interact effectively with people from different cultures, which is what I bring to the student body, where I anticipate numerous opportunities for group assignments, teamwork, and projects. I look forward to excelling as a Computer Networking expert, utilizing my heightened level of multicultural competence as a valuable member of the multidisciplinary IT team.
The prospect of receiving a quality Computer Science education is incredibly exciting to me, and it is here that I can make my mark.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
