Moreover, since my chosen field for graduate study is Biostatistics, the University of ____ is a natural choice for me as a graduate school applicant. I am eager to learn from and collaborate with the dedicated and well-trained biologists at the University of ____, to gain a deeper understanding of how the human body functions when numbers are integrated into biological theory.

Nothing excites me more than studying the driving forces behind physiological phenomena and creating mathematical models for human physiology and improved health. I can't imagine ever feeling bored while exploring these areas, and my passion for the intersection of Biology and Mathematics is so strong that I am confident I have chosen the right career path. I have taken several courses in Biomathematics and currently hold a degree in Mathematics. I am also in the process of earning an undergraduate degree in Statistics to be optimally prepared by my undergraduate studies to excel in the MS program at the University of ____.

I have experience with the math program LaTeX, R and SAS statistical programming languages, as well as Matlab and C++. I also have a solid background in Human Physiology and Neurology. I have dedicated a significant amount of my free time over the years to reading about arthritis, schizophrenia, and dementia, and contributing towards finding a cure or at least a highly effective treatment in these areas would be a significant achievement for me.

I can think of no more noble work than devoting one's professional life to enhancing the effectiveness of medicines and other medical treatments. Using accurate mathematical models, we could potentially screen medicines and treatments before human and animal trials, which would be more cost-effective, humane, and efficient. I believe that my background in both statistics and mathematics will enable me to make the most of my graduate studies and position myself to make significant contributions to understanding the human brain through mathematical modeling.

I had a slow start as an undergraduate student, and my grades during the first two years were not impressive. However, by my third year, the underlying issues had been resolved, and my grades improved significantly. I am confident that my more recent work better reflects my potential for excellence as a graduate student.
