I hope to earn a master's degree in clinical laboratory sciences at ____ Medical College. Your program is my first choice because of its sheer excellence as well as location. I see your program as the optimal platform upon which to launch my career to new heights as a laboratory and research professional. My long-term goal is to become one of the top medical geneticists in my country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to make my maximum contribution to the advancement of medical laboratories in the KSA.  

While it took me a little time to adjust to university life, and I needed to take a gap year to deal with some family and personal issues, when I returned, I made progress, my grades improved, and I was awarded a coveted internship at King Fahd Medical City as a laboratory specialist, where I have remained to this day, faithfully giving my all to a variety of duties in our lab. I became a senior laboratory specialist in February of 2018

Last year, my life came together as never before when I became a father for the first time, to twin girls. They have resulted in a total doubling-down of my devotion to medicine as I am more inspired and driven than ever before to advance in my career to serve as an excellent role model in the future for my family and especially my children. I hope to earn my master's degree in the USA where medical laboratories operate at the forefront, so that I can learn from the experts. Doing so will prepare me to assume important leadership roles in the KSA upon my return which will maximize the contribution that I will be able to make over the longer term in the advancement of our medical infrastructure. 

My family always encouraged me to become a scientist and to engage with the medical community in creative and progressive ways, making my contribution. Doing so has always been my central passion in life. I aspire to spend many decades to come assuming increasing levels of responsibility and always spending long hours giving my all to science, education, and my community. Highly efficient, productive, and detail-oriented medical technologist with advanced knowledge of medical testing in clinical, Biochemical Genetics and Clinical Toxicology, I hope to bring excellent clinical laboratory skills to your program that will help me to hit the ground running, including conducting and analyzing laboratory essays and solving complex clinical and instrument problems.  

I hope to excel in your Master’s Degree Program, taking full advantage of the excellent faculty at the ____ Medical College to lay a solid foundation for further study later towards the PHD Degree. I keenly look forward to a long and highly productive professional lifetime devoted to scientific research and independent study geared towards publication.

Volunteer work is also close to my heart, and I look forward to distinguishing myself in this area as well as my career advances. I have worked with one of our local, mobile blood banks and as an organizer for World Lab Day. I hope to teach Clinical Research in Saudi Arabia at some point in my career. Still a new field in my country, I look forward to helping to prepare new generations of students for lives dedicated to scientific research, not only abroad but also at home, working to strengthen our local scientific community, particularly with respect to all things medical. This is my top priority, on the same level as being a super-dad to my twins.
