MS Software Engineering Iraqi Personal Statement of Purpose

I am a young man from Iraq. I was born and raised in Baghdad. As with most young Iraqi men who have the great fortune to live somewhere other than Iraq, I am happy to be far removed from the conflict. I do grieve. How can one not suffer for one's land, people, and a deep and abiding passion for communication? I would go so far as to say that fomenting and facilitating communication, transaction, interchange, and commerce between peoples is my very spirituality. It is here that I am convinced that I will have much to contribute to human progress.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Software Engineering from XXXX College, one of the most prestigious educative institutions in Iraq. I have been playing with computers and software ever since I was a child. Engineering is my second sense. I have always taken things apart and put them together in new ways, building and creating. For some time now, my energy and focus, most significant test curiosity and passion, is for software development.

I live here in Da, las Texas with my wife. We are delighted here, and we like Dallas very much. Thus, in addition to the highly reliable excellent credential of your program, the location is also ideal. I am now so thankful that I have arrived at a point in my life where I can give my all to graduate school. I now have sufficient maturity and discipline to function as an excellent student in your program because I assure you that I will work harder than most. Perhaps this is one of the advantages of being from Baghdad. One realizes that life can be short, and it is best to make the most of it when one has the golden opportunity to do so. I am especially interested in graduate work in the area of software engineering.

In addition to education, I volunteered in Baghdad during further war-war when my school was shut down temporarily. And I worked as a tutor at my university for beginning students. I have also acquired professional experience working in Dubai writing programs. I hope to continue my education eventually to Ph.D. Ph.D. levelply love writing computer software programs. I also hope to use my linguistic abilities in Arabic as well as English. I want to help to end war by bringing people together through enhanced computer communication and education.
