Based in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, I have spent the past seven years independently buying and selling properties. From 2006 to 2010, except for my Iraq service (2007-2008), I managed maintenance, including security and daily operations, for over 20 buildings at Camp Pendleton valued at over $100 million. I supervised a team of over 50 Marines on local projects, honing my leadership, communication, and management skills. This experience helped me excel academically, earning a BS in Management from XXU in 2014 with a 3.4 GPA, and two meritorious promotions in the Marines.

Since June 2014, I have been in Dubai, UAE, interning with XXXX Investments, owned by billionaire XXXX. As a personal assistant to his son, XXXX, who manages the firm, I am learning about real estate investment opportunities and challenges. The excitement I feel in Dubai's dynamic international investment environment has fueled my long-term goal of starting my own REIT, buying and selling properties globally. I also aspire to teach real estate development and investment in the future. Central to my vision is creating enough residual income to continually work on unique and profitable real estate projects.

I aim to publish in a professional journal in our field or a closely related area, focusing on topics I am passionate about, such as real estate valuation and feasibility analysis. I look forward to a career managing and investing in emerging market properties and teaching others to do the same. In my later years, I intend to use my success to build schools or affordable housing for the less privileged. As an investor, I have gained invaluable experience over seven years, buying, managing, renting, and selling properties, structuring legal agreements, managing maintenance, screening tenants, and conducting credit and background checks. I've built extensive networks with diverse groups, institutions, and individuals, and I maintain my interest in health and fitness, holding nearly a dozen certifications from courses worldwide.

My recent experience in Dubai is equipping me with the skills and analytical tools to excel in your program, as I am now proficient in negotiating with developers and overseeing property management teams for over 500 properties across the UAE. I particularly enjoy evaluating land and development opportunities and overseeing projects through construction phases. I am also inspired to learn about international real estate marketing, finding this aspect of my work in Dubai particularly engaging.

Finally, I believe it is crucial for me to remain involved in volunteer work to contribute to my community. I volunteered at a children's hospital for six months in South Africa, visiting sick children, and these remain some of my most vivid and fulfilling memories.
