I am thankful for the opportunity to have immigrated to the United States from Bangladesh at the age of thirteen, which has allowed me to develop strong English language skills. Growing up in one of the world's poorest countries has given me a profound appreciation for the significant role chemistry plays in addressing the vast challenges humanity faces, such as poverty and under-development.
