A pivotal experience in my life took place during high school when I joined a research team focused on designing an underground bicycle parking facility. Over two years, I worked alongside machinists and scientists, igniting my passion for Physics and reinforcing my dedication to the field. This experience initiated my journey into invention, and I now hold patents for several innovations derived from this advanced underground bicycle parking garage: a bicycle storage conveyor platform lifting device with tension adjustment, a self-lifting bicycle garage gripping device, and an efficient grabbing and pushing device for the underground conveyor. Many of the underground parking facilities we designed have been constructed and are operational in Tianjin, which brings me great satisfaction.

____ University is my preferred choice for MS programs in Physics for several reasons, primarily my deep respect and admiration for your faculty, particularly three professors whose research aligns with my professional goals: Xie Chen, Thomas F. Rosenbaum, and Liang Fu. Chen's work in symmetry-protected topological order and tensor network representation, Rosenbaum's contributions to Theoretical Physics, and Fu's research on the surface states of topological insulators all inspire me.

My interests center on the structure of condensed matter and the development of new phases of matter. Nothing excites me more than transforming theories into applications, creating innovative materials for high-temperature superconductivity. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the physical world, driven to explore and understand its functions and interactions. I am grateful to my parents for providing me with encyclopedias, which I used extensively. When not reading, I often disassembled objects to understand their workings and then reassembled them. From a young age, I helped my parents with repairs around the house. While Chemistry and Biology were my favorite subjects in high school, by the end of my first college year, I was captivated by Physics, enamored with studying everything from the largest galaxies to the smallest subatomic particles. I appreciated how studying physics enhanced my quantitative reasoning and problem-solving skills. I aspire to become a scientist focused on theoretical physics and quantum and condensed matter.

I am intrigued by how Quantum physics demands unique thinking about the physical universe. I am excited at the prospect of dedicating decades to uncovering truths about our physical world's structure and order. I look forward to contributing to advancing our scientific boundaries. It is fulfilling to think of dedicating myself to passing on specialized knowledge from one generation to another. Among my long-term goals, I aim to continue learning across various areas to become a better physicist. My greatest interest lies in condensed matter, and it would be a tremendous honor to contribute to advancements in this field of Physics.
Â
I have completed most physics courses offered by my college and am prepared to tackle the challenges of graduate school. If accepted into the program, I plan to continue immersing myself in research after completing the degree. I hope to work alongside dedicated colleagues who share my passion for physics, contributing to research teams and using my knowledge to create new inventions that illuminate the unknown. My ideal career path involves becoming a university professor, leading a research group and dedicating my professional life to studying condensed matter and exchanging ideas with other experts.
Â
I earned straight A's in all my physics courses and most others, utilizing a variety of computational tools: Python, Java, C/C++. From my sophomore to senior years, my enthusiasm for scientific research grew, fueled by my motivation to perform creatively.
Â
For the past three years, I have been a committed member of Professor ____'s research team, focusing on simulating gravimetry with weak-value measurements, crucial for stabilizing weak-value gravimetry. I led the development of a Python program to simulate the experiment, making significant improvements and solving major issues with a new algorithm. This experience demonstrated my ability to learn quickly and solve problems effectively.
Â
When Tianjin, China, experienced a major chemical explosion in 2016, I volunteered to help raise relief funds and assist displaced individuals, providing them with tents, supplies, and medical attention. It was fulfilling to support people in dire need. I like to think that my dedication to Physics also serves humanitarian purposes, helping protect and improve our planet.

I have been learning the violin since childhood, and it was my closest companion growing up. I love classical music and often try to play pieces I enjoy on the violin. I usually listen to violin music while studying, as I find it helps my mind function better. At thirteen, I won second prize in a local musical competition in Tianjin. While I may not be an extraordinarily talented musician, I have worked hard to learn and practice, appreciating the joy it brings. I have also studied the physics of the violin, understanding how sound is produced. However, my primary interest now is distinguishing myself as a physicist rather than a violinist.
